This low pile Vintage rug is from the Oushak region of Turkey. Circa 1970. It is handmade using a cotton foundation & wool weave. It's is a varied color palette of faded red, blues, light & dark, yellow & off white field with a double border in a myriad of colors. It's very pretty & would work well in a southwestern interior. Actual size is 4'2" x 9' It has been professionally washed, blocked & restored. It has lots of abrash which means the dye bath was more concentrated at the time of dying more wool and, as a result, it didn't fade as much over time as the rest of the carpet.
