Authentic OSHIMA No. 74568 7x50, Japanese military field binoculars. Manufactured in Japan. Features coated glass, fixed focus. Fixed focus or permanent focus binoculars have no focusing mechanism. They are designed to have a fixed but really long depth of view (usually from around 40 ft. to infinity). Minor adjustments to the focus can be made with a diopter adjustment on each of the eyepieces. These are full-size binoculars that capture more light & perform better in low-light situations. They usually provide steadier images & a wider field of view, so they're great for bird watching, boating, etc. They function properly with a sharp focus. The optics are clear & it's no etchings or scratches. The focal adjustments work smoothly. No damage to the body; shows some light edge wear from past use. Additional photos are available at request.
