Description

Yes, you need a Petoskey Stone tie tack! Stones typically measure 11mm to 15mm in diameter Stone is mirror-polished in-house! Handmade using only natural stones. Each is joined with a steel & silver-tone tie pin & clutch with t-bar chain Securely attached with aircraft grade bonding/jeweler's cement. Reverse side additionally coated in resin to help prevent damage while wearing or if dropped Please allow for slight variations in color, shape & size of the stones. Each fossil is unique! Stone origin: Northern Michigan Fancy gift box included. ►WHAT IS THIS THING ANWAY / HOW TO!? A tie tack is snazzy tie jewelry with fun & function - pin to your tie to keep it from swaying & add an unforgettable decorative accent to your outfit. Insert the T-bar through the third buttonhole on your shirt. Push the pointed post through your tie Insert the post into the clutch hanging from the chain. Hold the clutch with your fingertips & slide the post into it. Now you're sorted! The chain will live behind the tie & keep it from swinging. When pinning: don't stretch or pull your tie tight, instead, allow it to hang naturally so it doesn't bunch up or create a larger hole when you push the post through it. Can't pierce your nose or ear at work? Be a tie-piercing rebel! Yep, whenever you use a tie pin, there will be a small hole in your tie. After wearing, you can gently steam the little hole with an iron, to make it shrink a bit. (Please do not steam your nose or ear or anything else you may have pierced already.) ►MATCHY MATCHY! How about coordinating Petoskey Stone cufflinks or a lapel pin? We have those too! https://www.etsy.com/shop/Cyberoptix/search?search_query=petoskey ►ABOUT THE STONE: A Petoskey stone is both a rock & a fossil, composed of fossilized rugose coral, Hexagonaria percarinata. Such stones were formed as a result of glaciation, in which sheets of ice plucked stones from the bedrock, grinding off their rough edges & depositing them in the northwestern portion of Michigan's lower peninsula. Polished to a mirror shine in our Detroit Michigan studio. ►NEED MORE? Got a super special occasion? Fathers of the bride, grooms & groomsmen? If only one is shown as available, more similar stones can usually be sourced & I can make plenty more for your entire wedding party! ►ABOUT THE MAKER: Each pair of cufflinks is unique & one of a kind, & made by hand by printmaker, metalworking artist & Cyberoptix founder, Bethany Shorb. I work between my home base in Detroit, MI & a mobile RV studio Arizona, where I source all our stone, crystal, shell & fossil there & at the Tucson & Quartzsite AZ gem shows. All are intuitively sourced in person, from only the most reputable individual suppliers. Petoskey Stone Tie Tack, Fossilized Coral Tie Pin.
