This poker is 43" long & is the perfect length for fire pits, campfires, & any other large outdoor conflagration. Or indoor, if that's your thing....I'm certainly not one to judge.... FREE SHIPPING! Anyways, I hand forge these from 1/2" diameter steel rod, & they are finished with my super-secret blend of paraffin, linseed oil, & gum turpentine, which is applied while the metal is still hot so that it bakes in & "seasons" the steel to give it some rust protection. That being said, this poker will eventually rust if you leave it outside. I also make a stainless version, if you think you may end up wanting to store it outside next to where you burn (and who are we kidding?...that IS the most logical place to store it).
