This low, open basket with a woven handle on each side is a very unique basket and comes in a variety of beautiful colors and patterns. The basket dimensions are 13″- 14″ diameter x 2″- 3″ tall. These particular baskets are named after the village from which they are made. Ghana Bolga baskets are woven using seagrass, known as “elephant grass” by local weavers in Bolgatanga, Ghana. African Market Baskets, or Bolga baskets, are strong, durable, colorful, and entirely hand made. Each basket is unique and beautiful. Baskets with leather handles are wrapped in goat skin for comfort and durability.
