Our Deviled Egg Trays are carved out of tight grained hardwoods such as hard maple, walnut, cherry and mahogany. All of our food serving products are finished in a custom mix of food-safe oils and wax. By using a tight grain hardwood, it inhibits bacteria growth that may otherwise happen in wood such as oak with more of an open grain. Hardwoods are also more resistant to damage and when properly maintained, it can be enjoyed for many many years.
