Painting horses as a boy, he gave his early paintings to his father-in-law to pay off debts, getting his first break when the gallery that framed them asked him to do a show. Since then, Sorenson has painted one work per week, branded with exceptional detail and strong, emotionally involving storylines. His originals are prized by collectors nationwide, and his works have also been licensed for such products as prints, jigsaw puzzles and figurines and greeting cards.
