Jim Daly's tender, nostalgic portrayals of children evoke a Norman Rockwell-like spirit of Americana, yet with his own warm-lit palette and composition. Born in Oklahoma and raised throughout the West, after a stint in the army in the mid-60's, Jim studied at the Los Angeles Art College of Design at night while working for in the aerospace industry. His family frequently modeled for him adding to his art's intimate realism. Award-winning Daly's work has appeared in Southwest Art, American Artist, and Art West magazines. In a U.S. Art magazine poll, Daly was named one of the top 20 most popular artists by gallery owners. Daly has also illustrated three well-received children's books. He currently lives in Oregon.
