Polysorb a drug to solve emergencies: poisoning, diarrhea, allergies, hangovers.Light white or white with a bluish hue powder, odorless. When shaken with water it forms a suspension. Polisorb is a modern sorbent with a broad spectrum of action, which binds harmful substances and removes them from the body. Polisorb is used for diseases such as poisoning, allergies, diarrhea. Polisorb is also used to cleanse the body of toxins and harmful substances. It is approved for use from birth.Pharmacodynamics:Polisorb MF is an inorganic, nonselective, polyfunctional enterosorbent based on highly dispersed silica with a particle size of up to 0.09 mm, with a chemical formula SiO2. Specific surface area of the preparation is about 300 mg. Adsorption capacity of the drug in internal use is not less than 220 mgg.Polisorb MF has pronounced sorption and detoxifying properties. In gastrointestinal tract lumen the preparation binds and removes from organism endogenous and exogenous toxic substances of different nature including pathogenic bacteria and bacterial toxins, antigens, food allergens, medicines and poisons, heavy metal salts, radionuclides and alcohol.Polysorb MF also sorbs some products of the body's metabolism, including excess bilirubin, urea, cholesterol and lipid complexes, as well as metabolites responsible for the development of endogenous toxicosis.Pharmacokinetics:Polysorb MF is not broken down and is not absorbed in the gastrointestinal tract and excreted unchanged.
