An incredible antique Spanish church altar, dating to the first half of the 18th century, with later elements, now fashioned for use as a sideboard. Having a raised gallery shelf back topped with single plank over massive single board wood slab top, above hand carved & painted original polychrome decorated faux marble support with recessed panels & smooth rounded corners, molded base. Beautiful patina over the whole, warm, rich, worn, naturally distressed finish, full of antique character & historic depth acquired from approx 300 years of use. Very strong, sturdy & heavy. One of a kind masterpiece. Monumental, substantial sized proportions, excellent for a variety of uses, including as a sideboard server, credenza console, kitchen island, bar counter, & more.
