We purchased the set from Hong Kong & the tiles are made of traditional Bamboo & Bone. The tiles are about 30 years old & will display wear & tear commensurate with age. Dimensions: 15mm x 15mm Mahjong is a game that originated in China & is usually played with a set of 144 tiles based on Chinese characters & symbols. There are 3 different groups of suits, numbered from 1 to 9. There are 2 different sets of Honors tiles: Winds & Dragons. The Winds are East, South, West & North. The Dragons are Red, Green & White.
