Description
A necklace I made in memory of the year I lived in France, in Dijon & Grenoble when I was very young. For those non French speaking, salut means hi or goodbye, it's a less formal bonjour you use to greet friends with. I carved the words from bronze clay & fired them in high heat to solid bronze. I polished the front of the salut tirelessly until perfection (in my opinion) & did a sloppier work on the back & sides. This actually accentuate the shape & makes the letters pop (but mainly it saves my fingers, as I'm grinding & polishing this for what seems like ages). It hangs on an adjustable chain with lobster clasp. The metal is protected with durable jewelers lacquer. Bronze is nickel & led free. It comes attached to an adjustable brass chain. Choose if you want a short (adjustable up to 50 cm) or long (adjustable up to 80 cm). You choose what chain you want under variations. MADE ON DEMAND, takes me up to to 7 days to complet.
