It has long been a tradition for the younger generation to learn the craft of working marble from the older generation. Only companies with a permit are allowed to mine marble in this area, so the ecosystem remains intact. Marble products are manufactured in three steps: the marble is first chipped, then chiseled into the desired shape & finally polished. The processing is mainly done traditionally by hand, but sometimes also with the use of special machines. - Production site: These coasters are handmade in Java, Indonesia. When selecting our local producers, we value fair pay & good working conditions. in the factories from which we purchase our goods, we only work with adult & experienced artisans. No harmful chemicals are used in the manufacturing process. Since all work steps are done by hand, the production process hardly generates any greenhouse gas emissions. We ensure all of this through regular on-site visits & permanent personal contact with the companies. - Shipping: Shipping within Germany is free with DHL. The delivery time is 2 to 3 working days.
