Where & how do I start describing these beautiful candle holders? Maybe I can share some of the process of crafting it. I started by building the base using kind of ocher clay. After it was half dried, "leather hard" we call it among ceramics & pottery people, I painted it all using black ceramic color. When the paint was half way dried, I started carving in it, making sure it is all covered & decorated. It took a lot of time, but it was all worth it, as I am so happy with this outcome. I added some glaze into the cups, where the candles are about to be put in, & just then it was ready to be fired in my kiln, in high temperature. I love it this way but if you really love the candle holders but not the eye bead, I can easily replace it with a tiny key! What a wonderful holiday gift, a wedding gift, a housewarming gift for a young couple, a gift to yourself or loved ones.
