Description

Have a quilt you want turned into a coat? Want a quilt coat but have something really specific in mind & want to pick out your own quilt? Send it over to me, & I can make it happen! Follow the steps below to get started with turning your own quilt or blanket into a SHORT or CROPPED quilt coat! This is a coat that is 22 inches or shorter in length. Interested in something a little longer? Check out these other listings for options for turning your quilt into a longer coat: 23-27 inches - https://www.etsy.com/listing/1054878688/mid-length-quilt-coat-send-your-quilt-to?ref=shop_home_active_2&frs=1 Longer than 27 inches - https://www.etsy.com/listing/1068838445/long-quilt-coat-send-your-quilt-to-me?ref=shop_home_active_1&frs=1 The photos show examples of coats I have made in the past. ALL coats pictured are only to show examples of what the coat can look like, they are sold. The materials for your made to order coat will be supplied by you (aside from buttons which I can supply - but feel free to supply your own buttons too if you have some you want to use!). I can make a coat from other types of blankets as well, it doesn't have to be a quilt. For a quilt coat, typically a twin blanket will be big enough, & a queen is definitely enough material to work with. I can use your measurements to determine if a blanket is a sufficient size before you send it to me. If you have a quilt that is super thick, please let me know before moving forward, if the material is too thick I will not be able to successfully work with it. The best way to determine the correct measurements for the finished coat is to lay a coat or shirt that you want to mimic the fit of flat on the ground & measure the coat from armpit to armpit, top of shoulder to hem, & armpit to end of the sleeve. Steps needed for this to work best: 1. Get in contact with me via Etsy messages & let me know a) the dimensions of your quilt, & b) the measurements you are looking for in your finished coat. It is also fine to buy a quilt online & have it shipped directly to me, you don't have to physically have the quilt in your possession for this to work. 2. Purchase this listing, provide your measurements, & ship your quilt to me in Portland Oregon (see address at the bottom of this listing). You will cover the cost to get the quilt to me. Please let me know what day your quilt is expected to arrive once you have tracking information so I know to look out for it. 3. Once I get your quilt, I will make it into a coat & ship it back to you. Return shipping for the finished coat is included in the price within the US. If you choose to have your quilt scraps returned to you, I do require that you cover the additional shipping costs of including those materials. I charge a flat fee here when you purchase, but I may reach out to you if the cost is higher (this happens with really large quilts). If you do not want your quilt scraps returned, I will find a good use for them. :) Shipping address: Lucca Monnie PO
