Use printmaking for your art whenever & wherever you want. The Open Etching Press fits into your backpack & gives you the ability to print outside, on vacation or in your living room! You can use your press to print small greeting cards, business cards, tiny artworks or large pieces consisting of lots of tiny prints. Printmaking is now as accessible as drawing! Check out hundreds of fantastic little prints over on Instagram @openpressproject. All our tiny presses are 3D-printed from PLA, a corn starch based polymer with a low CO2 footprint. Also, all presses come with a stainless steel roller, high quality woven wool blanket, a clamp to attach the press to a table, a 3D printed drypoint needle & lots of motivation to do some printing! The press is reinforced with metal parts to enable it to withstand the amounts of pressure that is needed for etchings, engravings, aquatints, mezzotints, etc. You can use the press for all intaglio & relief printing techniques on paper of up to 7.5 x 14.5 cm.
