All My Life in the Reflections ~ original contemporary abstract landscape painting by Dawn Chandler This painting pulls me into ripples & pools of shimmering light broken by shadows of reflected trees, autumn colors & blue sky.. This painting was once a "traditional" landscape a representational image of New Mexico mountain view that I know well. But honestly, though the painting was pretty & competently painted, it was boring. It just looked like any ole' competently painted landscape of a mountain view. So I painted over it. Turned it upside down. Painting over it some more. & guess what? Magic started to happen. & this painting all my own creation, of a mystic flow of water & light, shadow & seasons emerged. I find this painting hopeful & luscious & enticingly mysterious. I love it. This is an original, one-of-a-kind painting by Dawn Chandler.
