Made of solid Oregon Alder with a fine, furniture-grade finish, this will lend a sophisticated & understated elegance to any setting. The hole in the top is 2-1/8" diameter, & extends about 1-7/8" into the wood, allowing the included glass votive holder to sit securely inside while allowing the candle light to dance along the exposed rim of the glass. The side slats are cut deeply enough into the sides to allow the candlelight to shine through them onto the surrounding surface. While delicate in appearance, they remain strong enough for daily use. On the tapered variation, the ends are angled at 7 degrees, creating a slightly different look than the cube shape of the square variation. This item ships with either a battery-operated LED "flicker effect" candle, or two regular tea lights, to get you on your way to lighting a special corner of your home!
