This handmade teapot is great for daily use or for special occasions to make your tea experience extra special. Each piece is wheel thrown on a potter's wheel & glazed with a food safe custom glaze. This piece was glazed in a thick white gloss glaze & then fired in a wood fueled kiln. The ash from the wood collected on the piece, melting to form some beautiful transparent green drips, while the mark of the flame left some subtle blushing. Truly a one-of-a-kind piece. These pieces are made from a durable stoneware clay that can be microwaved & placed in the dishwasher (although we recommend washing by hand). Fired in a reduction kiln to 2400 degrees F, this is a truly one of a kind functional work of art. Up your morning, daytime or night time coffee experience (or hot cocoa, tea, etc.)! NOTE: Please DO NOT use this pot directly on the stove top or direct flame. DO NOT pour boiling hot water into the pot. This could result in serious damage to the pot & may cause injury. For best use, we recommend adding hot, tap water to the pot to pre-warm while you boil your water for tea. After bringing your water to a boil, wait 30 seconds for it to cool slightly, pour out the tap water & add your tea. This will keep the drink warm longer & protect the piece from thermal shock.
