Bless someone special in your life (or treat yourself with a beautiful lavender, black & white, hand carved, ceramic quote mug! The hand carved text reads, "Pour Yourself Into Me." As for how the piece is made, I use a beautiful porcelain clay. I roll out the clay into a flat even sheet, & then cut it using a template & build the mug by hand. After the mug has dried some, I paint on the black underglaze. Then I carve the words & patterns all freehand. After all of this, the mug goes into the kiln for its first firing at 1,828 degrees! The piece is then glazed clear where I have carved words & glazed with arctic blue & weeping plum on the bottom, inside & handle. Finally, it goes to its last firing at 2,232 degrees! This piece is food & microwave safe; however, I recommend hand washing for durability. Give the gift of art! You are sure to make a lasting impression when you do.
