It has a latex backing to keep the mat firmly in place & reduce the risk of slipping. The mats are 1 inch thick. I hand paint each mat with a rubber paint to create a longer lasting, more premium quality item & I seal it with a UV resistant sealer. You can order this design with your family name (or without), as well as create your own custom design!
