Description
This planter is especially made for growing orchids & is fired twice in the kiln to a very high temperature. I throw the planter on the potter's wheel using terra-cotta clay. After the clay dries a little, a white ship is poured on one half of the pot & holes are made around the sides. There is also a hole for drainage in the bottom & a small hole under the back rim so that the pot can be hung on a wall or fence. When the planter comes out of the kiln after the first firing it is decorated with a cobalt blue & white flower design & is covered with a shiny clear glaze & fired again to a very high temperature. This planter will delight orchid growers & collectors. It is fast draining & has plenty of air holes so orchid roots can breath. The hole for hanging will make it easy to display the beautiful blooms on a wall or fence. This orchid pot measures 6 inches at the top diameter x 4.50 inches in height.
