Description

Oregon voted on women's suffrage six times1884, 1900, 1906, 1908, 1910, & 1912the most times the issue appeared on the ballot in any state. The efforts were led by Abigail Scott Duniway, a pioneer, mother of six & journalist. Duniway founded a popular suffrage newspaper, called The New Northwest & worked tirelessly for the cause. This piece depicts Duniway planting the seeds of suffrage with a nod to the iconic Portlandia statue. It took six times on the ballot for these seeds to take root & result in women getting the vote in Oregon in 1912. This is a Giclee fine art print - printed with archival, non-fading inks on archival paper. Please specify your preference of image size (other sizes available on request). Prints have an additional white margin & are signed by the artist. Abigail's Garden - Fine Art Print
