A beautiful & scarce antique quarter-sawn oak apothecary cabinet by high quality office furniture manufacturer Globe Wernicke (1899-1955) The early 20th century American made wooden cabinet features a fitted interior with 18 press-board flip-down removable drawers, with highly decorative patinated brass label holders & pull rings. The drawer fronts flip down to reveal an inventory "Memoranda" label, each signed "Manufactured by Globe Wernicke Co, Cincinnati, U.S.A." The Arts & Crafts Mission period cabinet is as attractive as it is functional & versatile; having rich antique oak glow, warm hues, superb grain patterns & beautiful patina; it can be used a variety of ways, including as a index card or file cabinet, library card catalog, organize photography supplies, collectibles or speciman storage, desktop, floor standing, or stacking, it makes for a unique & artistic side table. Dimensions: 30.75" tall x 15.25" wide x 11" deep. Excellent condition. Original antique condition. The original finish is beautiful & all but two of the drawers are complete & intact, the two have loss to the drawer fronts. Structurally sound. Solid & sturdy. Wear commensurate with age & use.
