Lovingly hand dyed yarn by DyeForYarn - 65% Wool, 20% Silk, 15% Yak (Merino superwash, Silk, Yak) - Lace weight 874 yds (100g skein) Color description: A light, muted reddish brown or brownish red with a rose undertone & subtle variances in brightness. All listed skeins are of the same dye lot, but color distribution between skeins may vary. Yarn stats: 65% Wool, 20% Silk, 15% Yak yardage per 100g: 874 yds. (800m) single ply yarn (Merino superwash, Mulberry silk, Yak) Yarn weight: Lace Needle size: 2.5 - 5 mm (US 1.5 - 8) Yarn properties: A deliciously warm luxurious single ply, yet sturdy lace yarn made from the softest fibres Merino, Silk & Yak. It has a subtle sheen & a soft halo which results in a great stitch definition. The undyed yarn has a beautiful heathered beige-gray color, so all colors we dye are a bit more subtle looking than on other yarn qualities. How to wash your FO: hand wash in cold or lukewarm water with a wool washing agent. ATTENTION: Very intense and/or dark colors may bleed, especially blue, teal, purple & red. We recommend to soak the finished object in a hot water bath with lots of vinegar for about 30 minutes. Use gloves to avoid fixation of excess dye on your skin. Afterwards soak your garment in luke warm to cold water with a very small amount of wool washing agent (like SOAK). Rinse with luke warm to cold water until the water is clear. A few words about the smell of our yarns: After the dyeing process, which involves white vinegar, we wash each color batch with unscented silk washing agent (SOAK). Because of that the smell of vinegar isn't masked with any fragrance, therefore you might notice a lingering smell of vinegar. This smell will dissipate after washing your garment for the first time.
