Glass Blackberry Charm Necklace features one of my handmade glass blackberry beads with a light green transparent glass calyx. The blackberry is the size of a wild blackberry (about 19mm high including the calyx). For strength the green glass calyx is made separately from the rest of the blackberry so it can wiggle a bit. This means if it gets bumped, it can spin & move instead of breaking. They are hung together on a ring & suspended from an ADJUSTABLE length figure-8 chain in Sterling Silver or 14/20 Gold-filled. The chain is 20 inches overall but you can wear it at any length you please by clipping the lobster clasp into the link of your choice. The free end of the chain is decorated with a matching glass leaf. Your jewelry will be carefully packed with biodegradable plant fiber inside a 100% recycled paper gift box with a stretch bow. People will ask you why this blackberry doesn't stain your clothes! This necklace will gather smiles & compliments wherever you go. The Nature of Mother Nature Almost nothing in nature is completely round, smooth or even, so I avoid making my glass fruit & leaves too perfectly. I put on little splotches & speckles, make them a tidbit lopsided, & add other small imperfection so that each berry or leaf is unique. This makes them look much more real. Process & Materials: All the glass pieces are handmade by me using the lampwork process - melting glass rods in the flame of a torch. The blackberry beads are made once cell at a time. I normally leave a few red cells for extra interest, but if you want your berry to be entirely black you can select that option during checkout. No two berries ever exactly alike. Because no paint has been used to make my glass fruits & leaves, the colors will never rub, flake or chip off.
