Description

The story of this design & furniture icon starts in 1938, when Antonio Bonet, an architect & town planner along with the architects Juanito Kurchan & Jorge Ferrari-Hardoy designed the BKF chair. The BKF chair achieved its highest popularity thanks to Knoll & owes its name to the acronym from the first letter of each surname of the architects who afterwards would create the Austral Group. The BKF chair also known as well as the Butterfly chair is a twenty century design cult object which is on display since 1944 in one of the most important contemporary art museum of the world, the Museum of Modern Art (MOMA) of New York as a part of its permanent collection thanks to Edgar Kaufman who also acquired a second unit for the "Fallingwater" house designed by architect Frank Lloyd. New Tango Cowhide, offers a select variety of designer premium leather lounge chairs based on the original BKF. We designed our unique disassembled frame.
