It also makes a great housewarming gift. I made this cup on the potter's wheel in my Kansas studio. I hand painted a fledgling blue jay design with velvet underglazes on top of a celadon green slip background. After the cup had been fired once, I glazed the inside & top edge in hemlock green glaze & covered the lower part of the cup with a shiny clear glaze. I then fired the mug in oxidation to about 2100 degrees Fahrenheit. This mug will hold 12 oz. of your favorite beverage. It is 3.5 inches (8.89 cm) tall & 3.5 inches (8.89 cm) in diameter.
