We thoughtfully source materials from a local vendor that aligns with the same ethical & environmentally-friendly mindset as we do. ○ Nicotine, Walnut, Wine, Chocolate, Mahogany & Black is a full Aniline Leather. This means that it is dyed exclusively with water-soluble dyes resulting in a finish that retains the hide's natural surface. The thickness of this leather can vary from 2 - 2.2 mm. ○ Veg-Tan leather is 100% Vegetable Tanned. This is the most eco-friendly tanning method & uses no dyes, leaving the leather its natural color. Veg-Tan will patina over time (see our color chart in the listing photos) & shows traces of exposure to elements such as body oils, dirt, scrapes, heat, sunlight, & moisture making each piece truly one-of-a-kind. The thickness of this leather can vary from 1.2 - 1.6 mm & has a rigid nature. Our best efforts are made to ensure that our leather is portrayed as life-like as possible however, actual colors & textures may vary due to the natural tanning process.
