Original cyanotype artwork featuring three willow leaves. This cyanotype was made in the Birmingham sunshine with a Willow leaf from my garden. Size: 14cm x 19cm / 5.5in x 7.5in Paper: 300gsm Watercolour Paper Cyanotype is a historical photographic process that uses UV rays from the sun to expose chemicals painted onto fabric & paper. When exposed & rinsed, the chemicals turn blue. Sold unframed & unmounted. This is a 'wet cyanotype' which had water & soap suds added during exposure. Cyanotypes are archival, however it is advisable to display the print away from direct sunlight which can cause print to fade. If fading occurs, washing the print in a dilute bath of hydrogen peroxide will usually restore it to its original intensity.
