A monumental Danish chest of drawers commode from the 19th century. The magnificent, handcrafted Scandinavian antique having molded cornice, over case fitted with five drawers, all with dovetail joinery, the upper with divided interior & matched sculpted gilt bronze ormolu escutcheon, the lower four with finely detailed bronze matching drawer pulls, flanked by turned columns, rising on later added short cabriole legs. Some photos are without the legs. Very heavy. Signed in pencil by craftsmanship (unlegible). circa 1868 Beautiful wood grain & rich antique wood tone.
