Handmade from reclaimed oil barrels from the port of Hamburg, a mix of B & A stock & overproduction, barrels never had liquids inside. We shorten the lower shelve, so that there is room in the lowest compartment (floor) for about 18 long neck bottles. The shortened shelve itself is a nice spot for shorter bottles or glasses (ca. 28 cm hight). Then you have the top shelve for glasses or bottles up to ca. 26cm. Then again you can put a lot of bottles on the very top of the barrel bar to display them, weight is not in issue with this metal oil barrel. The white barrels are painted at the oil barrel factory & have scratches at the bottom rim & in other places due to being reclaimed. The rusty finish is handmade by us before we add a layer of transparent powder coating for protection. If you have a color in mind, choose „Wunschfarbe / Custom color" & let us know, we can provide any color of the classic RAL pallette. OIL BARRELS Our very first oil barrel cabinet was made from a neighbour's oil drum about 16 years ago, now we use metal oil barrels from the Port of Hamburg, a mix of overproduction, A - & B - stock. All barrels never had oil inside. OUR STORY What started off as a weird idea for a retail shop in 2004 turned into a business with world wide customers & a concept store in Karolinenviertel, Hamburg. About 80% of our product portfolio is made from recycled/reclaimed materials, we use green energy from Greenpeace & produce products our selves to make sure the way of work & the quality matches our standards.
