Born in the early 19th century, hand forged, tripartite form, sculptural, retaining the original distressed green painted finish, gold gilt & copper accents, featuring four faux candle lights in two tiers, elaborate scrolling & foliate designs, intricately incised iron central standard, rising on three highly stylized short cabriole legs, ornately decorated in fanciful scrollwork, classical acanthus leaves, floral embellishments, spiral twist elements Born well before modern day electricity, this antique floor lamp, was originally designed to hold candles, it has been professionally electrified, adding wiring, switch & sockets.
