A bold green & yellow shweshwe fabric. This is the original shweshwe from South Africa, from the popular three cats brand. To give you an idea of the scale of the pattern, each circle in the pattern is about 1.5 inches wide. This is approximately 4 cm. ABOUT SHWESHWE FABRIC Shweshwe is a printed dyed cotton fabric widely used in traditional South African clothing; dresses, skirts, & so on. It was originally dyed indigo but is now manufactured in a variety of colours & designs. The formal name for shwe shwe is 'Indigo-dyed discharge printed fabric'. It is a trademarked fabric & is manufactured by Da Gama Textiles in the Zwelitsha township outside King William's Town in the Eastern Cape of South Africa.
