The Lacy dog is a stunning official dog of Texas. Blue Lacy is named after the Lacy brothers of Texas, who developed them in the 19th century for rounding up wild hogs. They started with a Greyhound & a wolf then grew the resulting puppies into all-around working dogs that had high speed & strived to work. in 2001 the Texas State Senate voted to bestow that honor on the Blue Lacy Dog Breed.
