Unique & functional carved Brutalist bookshelf by United Furniture company circa 1970s features carved walnut & oak. This bookshelf has two large glass doors enclosing four shelves & an interior light to display contents. This piece is part of the rare case goods series by United with design combining clean, streamlined mid century modernism & tiki Brutalist style motif. Handful examples of nice mid century case goods collections were made in 60s with tiki Brutalist style motif, ( among which, perhaps the most well-known ones being Oceanic series dresser by Pulaski furniture, because one of those were used as a movie prop for Don Drapers office in TV series Mad Man.) This series by United furniture is arguably the best mix of clean-lined mid century modernism & tiki Brutalist motif, readily working well with any type of deco. You have a choice of legs to attach to the bookshelf to customize this piece to fit your decor. Some choices are shown in the images, but not included in the price as each leg will result in a different total cost for the piece.
