It is finished with a water-based Cherry stain followed by several coats of water-based clear coat with Low VOC (volatile organic compounds) so the stand is odorless & safe. The end result is a smooth durable finish that looks great. The two aluminum accent rods that support the stand & your records are machined from aircraft grade Aluminum Alloy & finished with a smooth black anodized finish with a long-lasting quality look-and-feel to match your stereo components. HANDMADE QUALITY - I shape the wood frame to exact dimensions & sand all surfaces to a smooth finish. The two aluminum rods are carefully machined on my lathe for a precision fit & easy assembly.
