Description
Hand printed on cotton paper, Alien is a photo etching showing exuberant plant life bursting between curb-stones at the side of the road. The mono print element is the actual plant which is inked up separately each time & carefully positioned on the etching plate for each print with the aid of tweezers. The 7.5cm x 7.5cm plate is inked with quality oil-based intaglio & relief inks & printed with an etching press onto a 24cm x 18cm piece of quality Somerset cotton paper. Image size - 7.5 x 7.5 / 3 x 3 inches Paper size - 23 x 18cm / 9 x 7inches The print is signed, titled & numbered in pencil. It is also embossed with a small version of my workshop's logo. The embosser is also made by myself. This artwork was conceived & created solely as an original fine art print. Unlike a gicleé print or any other computer print out, none of my prints are reproductions of a pre-existing painting or drawing .
