Hera 'Oracle' Earrings, in 'Syringa'. Inspired by the magic & mystery of the treasures of ancient Greece & Rome, these tactile & lightweight earrings are available in a beautiful array of colours. 'Syringa' is the Latin name for the lilac tree, ancient symbol of love & youth. in ancient Greek mythology Syringa was a nymph who turned herself into a lilac tree to hide from Pan, the God of forests & fields. The raw brass findings gleam in the sun & can be polished, or not, with a jewellery polishing cloth, as you wish. The strong, solid brass ear wires fasten securely, & are lead, nickel, & cadmium free. Don't hesitate to get in touch if you require gold plated wires. My jewellery is beaded using reclaimed silk, conditioned with local beeswax. Alternatively, organic cotton is available for a totally vegan option.
