Napoleon House in New Orleans is a historic landmark dating from 1797. It was offered as a residence for Napoleon in 1821 as a refuge during his exile. Napoleon never made it. I have been taking photographs of old dilapidated buildings since the 80's for my work. When I walked into this business it was like none I had seen before. I took pictures knowing I would incorporate it into a painting, thus my interpretation of Napoleon House.
