OUM, with its truly impressive four-metres in length, is MAZANLI's largest piece of furniture. It was developed as a workplace for teams of up to eight people. The table is divided in the middle by a channel running along the entire length of the table, which accommodates cables for computers, etc. Insects embody stamina & strength like no other genus on earth, & that was incorporated into the design of OUM. The advantages of this table are particularly evident in a teamworking environment, because it facilitates communication with the other person through eye-to-eye contact & thus promotes a feeling of togetherness - the "we" feeling. Despite its very impressive dimensions, the table does not stand in a room like a "giant". On the contrary, an impression of weightlessness is made possible by the welding of thin but highly robust square tubes (3 cm x 3 cm) made of Krupp steel. The steel used is untreated & develops an individual patina over time, depending on the surrounding climate. This creates an exciting contrast between industrial-minimalist character & filigree construction. OUM is also available in white or black powder-coated versions, which do not develop a patina. OUM stands for highest standards & true contemporary Berlin design. The metal frame is completely welded together & will be delivered in on piece. Measurements: Height 75 cm x Width 400 cm x Depth 180 cm. The following high-quality oak parquet as well as marble variants are available to choose from for the table top (20mm thick): Versailles parquet Florence parquet Nero Marquina (primarily black with fine white lines) Verde Alpi (primarily grey with fine white lines) Rosso Verona (primarily various shades of red) Grand Antique (similar to Verde Alpi marble, but with more white inclusions) Fior di Pesco (mixture of red, white & grey) Arabescato (primarily white mixed with some light grey inclusions) Grigio Billiemi (mixture of white & grey lines) Pietra Grigia (primarily mouse grey with fine white lines) Verde Guatemala (mixture of green & white inclusions, which effectively results in a turquoise tint of the marble) If you should wish your OUM to have different dimension or in case you're after a different table top, please do not hesitate to contact us. Important note: The untreated steel version is indeed untreated. This means it will have scratches, signs of the welding (including "rainbow effect") will clearly be visible & the steel will develop a patina over time (i.e. the steel will show signs of rust). This is all intended & part of the design of the product. If the aforementioned effects are not desirable, please choose the black or white powder coated versions of this product.
