'First Signs of Autumn' Greetings Card It's coming, Autumn! Markers & signs that indicate the next season is on it's way. Noticing these small changes is a great way of being present, & appreciating the incredible beauty that is on our doorstep throughout the year. Autumn has some of the most spectacular signs that it's upon us, & they're not to be missed. Wrap up & head out to see if you can spot any. Look out for: Bird Migration - as in Summer, Autumn is a time of movement for lots of birds. Some birds leaving us for the warmer climes of Europe & Africa, & others finding us as their home for the Winter months. Seeds dropping from the trees - Natures way of ensuring it's offspring, trees dropping their seeds, from acorns, conkers, sycamore seeds. Leaves changing colour - Spectacular sights as the leaves change colour on trees, as they prepare for a dormant Winter Fungi - Autumn is the best season for fungi spotting, damp woodlands produce these amazing colourful structures Fruit & berries - The hedgerows are full of fruit & berries, roseships, & blackberry are easy to see. All my cards can be personalised inside & out. All of the images were drawn, inked & watercoloured, some were drawn on location from life, others in my studio from photographs taken.
