The curved bright pops in this piece are symbolic of the flumes - man-made structures designed to transport water. Here, in the Feather River Canyon of Northern California, water is the great Alchemist. Life springs from it, as does resilience to wildfire. Wildfire presents one of the greatest natural threats to those living in these realms, as evidenced by the Camp Fire that burned Paradise, CA to the ground in late 2018. Paradise was my canyon-laden home, now lost. The original was painted with acrylic, gouache, watercolor, charcoal, & pencil on linen (pictured in last listing image). PRINT DETAILS: - This is an archival print of my original painting. - Each print is signed on the front. - Frame & mat are NOT included. - All of my prints are produced with professional art materials including pigment-based inks & archival Somerset Velvet fine art paper. -In order to keep your print in great condition it is important to frame with archival materials (mats, backing board, etc.), keep out of direct sunlight, & UV glass if you really want to go all-out! SIZE: - Paper is larger than the listed size, as there is a ~1.25" white border around the actual image to enable easier matting, or float mounting to display the deckled edges of the paper. - Image itself is shrunk down ~1/4" from size listed to expose signature line when matted or framed in the corresponding standard sized mat/frame. SHIPPING: Shipped USPS first class in a flat protective sleeve with sturdy backing board in a rigid mailer if 14"x11", or rolled in a sturdy art shipping tube if 20"x16". INTERNATIONAL ORDERS: If you're placing an order for shipment outside of the United States, you may be required to pay additional VAT or customs fees. Some countries may require that the parcel be picked up from a local customs office to remit these fees.
