This piece captures the tip of the Bayfield area peninsula & 19 of the 22 Apostle Islands in a ready-to-frame, 8 x 10", layered, cut paper piece. Home to navigable sea caves that turn into ice palaces in the winter, quiet bays & rocky escarpments, & one of the largest concentrations of black bears in North America, The Apostle Islands have been a favorite getaway for nature lovers & explorers alike. This is an original, layered papercut piece, handmade in Minnesota, in a deliciously rich set of Royal blues, & featuring the Apostle Islands. This unique piece is intricately cut from five layers of high quality, acid-free cardstock. The top layer is a bright white, while the layers underneath are in ever-darker shades of color. The back is titled, signed & dated as an original piece. The work measures 8 x 10 inches (about 20 x 25 cm), & is about 1/8" thick.
