These 'Tamaduni' baskets are finely woven, they take very skillful weaving to get the patterns just right. It takes upto 7 days to do one basket. The pattern is the reflection of thr terrain of where the weavers live. They are a reflection of our culture & the colours of the soil in our rural homesteads. They are handmade by a self help group of lady weavers in a remote rural village in Kenya . Working directly with these local women brings them empowerment, financial security & providing additional income. It's versatile & ideal for organising, tidying, decor or as a plant pot cover.
