The plant material was gathered in my garden & pressed by hand using a variety of processes in order to create this artwork, which originally measured 5x7". It was scanned to capture all of the lifelike detail & is available printed in its original size or as a larger-than-life print at 8x10" or 11x14". Flowering dogwood (cornus florida) is native to eastern North America. It is the state flower of Virginia & North Carolina, & state tree of Virginia & Missouri. This print is the perfect way to bring a bit of the spring forest indoors year-round, without having the hassle of caring for a living plant!
