Description
A Fine English George II Japanned secretary. The upper case with an arched pediment with carved gilt rosettes over mirrored doors opening to an interior fitted with shelves. The lower case with a slant lid opens to a fitted interior with small drawers. Below the writing surface, the case has four long graduated drawers over ogee bracket feet. The entire surface is decorated with a scarlet ground & painted with figures landscape & architecture. Condition is very good with age appropriate wear. Circa: 1750.
