Up for sale is a sleek compact studio desk that puts all your best gear at arms reach. I call it the "Manhattan Model" because it was originally a custom modification of my 12U curvy desk requested by a Manhattan resident. Manhattan holds a very special place in my heart, as I learned my craft as a recording engineer & made some of my first recordings in the Big Apple. I felt that I should name a desk after the city that never sleeps. The desktop is very compact, not much room for clutter. Maybe just a keyboard & mouse or a laptop situation. Racks are at an angle to provide easy access to all knobs with ease. Speaker shelf is at an ideal height for most near field monitors. This desk does not come with a keyboard shelf. This desk is available in American Birch or Baltic Birch. Baltic Birch is 30% heavier & a sturdier option, & worth the added expense. Baltic Birch has 13 plies & American birch has 7 plies. All desks are made to order in my one man & one robot (CNC machine) shop, so please allow up to 20 business days for order to ship depending on work load. Desks are hand finished & coated with clear coat laquer. Stain can be applied upon request, otherwise clear coat on natural birch is the standard finish. Your desk will arrive unassembled & flat packed for affordable shipping. If you need desk to be preassembled, It will require a freight shipment & will increase cost of shipping significantly. Please contact me prior to purchasing if you need a preassembled desk. ADDITIONAL RACK SPACE OPTIONS -12U Upper - The standard 12U racks in the top section of the desk. -12U Upper + 16U Lower- The standard 12 rack spaces in the top section of the desk plus 16 additional rack spaces in the lower section of the desk. -12U Upper + 24U Lower - The standard 12U rack spaces in the top section of the desk plus 24 additional rack spaces filling the entire lower section of the desk. 36 rack spaces in total! FINISH OPTIONS -Unfinished. For those of you who wish to add your own personal touch of color. It will arrive sanded & ready for you to add any finish you desire. I highly recommend looking into hardwax oils. Most of them are very low VOC or zero VOC making them very safe to handle & have in your studio. Most of them are even food safe. I don't recommend chopping food on your new studio desk, but you can if you want. LOL -Zero VOC Natural Hardwax Oil finish. This is a clear protective coat, that retains the natural blonde color of the Baltic Birch. -Zero VOC Rubio MonoCoat Hardwax Oil finish. THIS IS A MATTE FINISH This only comes in a Matte finish. There are many colors to choose from. They can be very vibrant & intense. It is a bit more expensive, but a very nice option. Extremely durable, & easy to touch up if you need to. I won't include a color swatch in this listing but will include a link to the color options. You can also read the documentation to decide if this is the choice for you.
