The handmade suzani i used for these pillow covers is from 1940s & it is from Central Asia - Uzbekistan. I used natural linen with best quality for backing these pillow covers & the woven parts are all lined with felted interface fabric. No insert, no filler Dry clean only. Please convo for detailed orders. SUZANI: Suzani ( Persian SUZAN = NEEDLE ) is one of the most attractive & beautiful products of Uzbekistan's handi-craft culture. They are mostly large silk & cotton embroideries that are used to to decorate interiors of the houses . Suzanis were also an important part of a girl's dowry. Each region in Uzbekistan had their own design pool & style. Tashkent ones are far different from the Bukhara ones or Shahr-i Sabz ones.
