This is an archival print of a Female Ruby-throated Hummingbird. I started a project to create minimalist designs of 'birds I've met.' The first time I saw a hummingbird was up in Malone, NY, just outside the Adirondack Park. All summer they come to the feeders, even sitting down sometimes to take a break. The print is 9x12 inches, or 23x30 cm, & printed using Epson Ultrachrome professional archival inks on beautifully textured Somerset Velvet paper. Somerset Velvet is 100% cotton rag, making it thick & durable, & provides a velvety, watercolor-like surface which brings out rich details & vivid colors.
